This page The BSAC is made up of Branches; plus the Schools, Resorts and Dive Centres of BSAC International. Although predominantly in UK, these are spread throughout the world (check out the BSAC web site www.bsac.com to find out where), making BSAC a truly International organization. Branches are groups of people interested in the same thing - Diving. Branches (the branch members themselves) arrange training, diving and social activities for the group. Branches may be Ordinary Branches where there are no membership restrictions or Special Branches which have some sort of restriction to entry. Marine Divers Sub-Aqua Club (MDSAC) is a Special Branch as it is attached to Marine Divers, the BSAC School in Hong Kong. MDSAC is BSAC Special Branch 2292, with membership restricted to BSAC divers training with or trained by Marine Divers (BSAC School 388), who do not belong to another BSAC HK branch. Branch membership is also open to non-BSAC qualified divers, though there are many advantages to crossing over to BSAC. BSAC members belonging to branches outside HK may hold dual membership. Marine Divers SAC is unique in HK in being attached to a BSAC School, which offers branch members unrivalled opportunities for training and diving, then relaxing over a cold one afterwards.
