DIVING WITH MARINE DIVERS

STEP 1: DECIDE WHEN YOU WANT TO DIVE

You dont have to be a member to dive with Marine Divers, but members do get better rates.

Check dive trip availability on our website which shows our scheduled trips.

Marine Divers can take you diving any day or night if you are suitably qualified.

STEP 2: MEETING WITH MARINE DIVERS

Arrange a meeting with us at The United Services Recreation Club (USRC), 1 Gascoigne Road, Kings Park, Kowloon (just a few minutes from Jordan MTR station).

You must meet us at least 24 hours in advance of the scheduled trip, the earlier the better to make arrangements, particularly for a boat trip organised specifically for you.

The USRC is an Oasis in the middle of the concrete desert of Kowloon. It offers superb facilities for Marine Divers to train its members, and a suitable location to meet for dive trips and to return to for a hot shower and a cold beer / soft drink while completing logbooks.

The meeting allows us to:

a) check your suitability for diving - bring your qualifications and logbook.

b) explain to you your options for diving and decide the most suitable program for you.

c) give you a briefing for the trip

The meeting allows you to:

a) ask us any questions about our dive trips

b) satisfy yourself that you will dive safely, accompanied if necessary by highly qualified dive leaders.

Admin includes completion of liability and medical declaration forms.

Those under 18 must be accompanied by a parent to sign forms.

You need to pay in advance before the dive trip - please bring your cheque book.

STEP 3. ATTEND THE DIVE TRIP

Dive trips may be shore or boat based. Usually for 2 dives, but more dives are possible - plan / pay in advance or add dives later.

Our Instructors and Dive Leaders are here to ensure you get have a fun day out, safely.

Small dive groups 1:1 or 1:2 at most for safety and fun - we see more fish than divers.

Marine Divers will also take photos of you on the dives as souvenirs.

Optional extras:

a) breakfast at USRC if you arrive rearly - by arrangement

b) additional dives (paid for on the day) time permitting

c) Dim Sum lunch / seafood dinner at Sai Kung after diving

d) Snack / meal (the curries are to die for) at USRC on return.

STEP 4: RETURN TO USRC

Hot shower.

Cold drink at the bar / poolside.

Snacks / Meal

Check the fish book for what you might have seen

Complete Logbooks
